ABOUT ME

I'm Tianyi Wang,  Film Production MFA student at RIT with an enduring passion for filmmaking and visual media.

My 3 years as a Digital Film Technology graduate student in Beijing Film Academy have given me a solid foundation for digital intermediate like DIT, data management, camera operation and stereo 3D rig operation, and made me quite familiar with Final Cut Pro, Avid and Quick Time.

I'm quite good at color grading by using Quantel iQ, Davinci resolve and Color. Also, I worked a lot as a stereo grader during my three years study in Beijing Film Academy. The stereo 3D film project “The Light of Shanghai Expo” that I worked on, won an award at the 3rd International 3D Society.

During the past 2 years of MFA film production study at the Rochester Institute of Technology I have gained a lot of useful experience, in film production, cinematography, setting up and operating different models of cameras, like ARRI Alexa, Red Epic, Canon C330, Sony FS-700 and Blackmagic cinema camera. I am comfortable performing a wide range of job duties.

Given my current experience working as the videographer at the University of Rochester IT, I feel more confident in brainstorming and planning sessions with co-workers and clients in order to translate client’s needs into solution requirements and develop video-related projects.

I strive to push the creative limits of cinematic storytelling and film technology with every project.
